Fitted with a smaller 2.2kw high torque starter motor, this Motorcycle Roller Starter is more suited to easily starting those older classic single cylinder bikes with low compression engines and small dirt bikes (125-250cc) easy to start low compression bikes. If your bike is high compression and hard to start, then we recommend the larger 2.5kw roller starter for motorcycles.

This roller starter is specifically designed for small dirt bikes and classic motorcycles with low-compression engines.

Important Considerations:

  • Not all motorcycles are compatible with roller starters; large high-compression V-twin engines may not be suited for this type of starter.
  • Our bike starters are designed for quick ignition, not for continuous operation. They are not an alternative starting method for non-operational bikes.
  • Continuous use on a poorly running bike may lead to overheating and potential damage to the starter unit.
  • Ensure your bike’s ignition and fuel systems are fully operational for optimal performance.
  • Always use the provided battery connections and ensure the battery has at least 520 CCA. Avoid using jumper cables with the bike starter.

Bike Starters are not designed to run continuously. They are designed to start your bike and not an alternative starting option for bikes that are not working. Constant running on a poor running bike will only overheat the motor and cause damage to the unit.

It is important that the ignition & fuel system are operational for a bike starter to work.

Some large high compression V-twins are not suited to roller starters. If you have a large high compression v twin, we cannot guarantee that any roller starter will start your bike.

Do not use jumper cables or leads with the bike starter. Only use the battery connections provided. The Battery (not included) must be at least 520cca for the starter to start your bike.

How To Use Our Bike Starter

To use Bike Starters, simply position your motorcycle on the rollers, ensure the ignition and fuel system are operational, then activate the foot switch to start the bike quickly and effortlessly without the need for pushing or kickstarting.

Battery Information For Our Bike Starter

We recommend the AcDelco 22F520SMFDF or equivalent batteries for our product due to its suitable specifications. It has a Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) of 520 meeting the minimum requirement for our product.

The battery dimensions are 240mm x 174mm x 205mm (Please note the battery is not included)

In the event of the ACDelco being unavailable, your local car parts retailer will be able to help with a suitable replacement. Other suitable brands. Yuasa 58VT MF, Bosch AU22R-520
